Pre- Wedding Hair Care

Hair Preparation

Please take the time to love and care for your hair in the run up to your wedding, trims every 6-8 weeks and weekly conditioning treatments are all really beneficial.

I recommend a final trim and if having your hair coloured to do this 2 weeks before your wedding, this allows the hair to settle and look its best for your big day! I’m really happy to welcome you in to the salon for these appointments, I use a really lovely colour line called Natulique a more natural approach to hair colour that is extra conditioning.

All hair appointments can be booked online at www.katelodgehair.co.uk please be advised I work limited days and appointments can go quickly so please book in advance.

Trials

I recommend trials for brides 3 months before your wedding date, it’s advisable to book your trial online at www.katelodgehair.co.uk early as appointments are often booked up quickly.

Trials take place on either a Thursday or Friday at my salon (24, Station Road NN11 3RB) please feel free to bring along up to 2 additional guests for a second opinion, it’s always lovely to meet family, maids of honours and bridesmaid before the big day!

Please arrive at your trial with clean dry hair.

Please bring any hair accessories and your veil if wearing one. If you haven’t decided on a hair piece, I can help advise you on what would work best with your chosen style.

If you are considering hair extensions a zoom call will be required at least 1 month before the trial, in order for me to colour match and order the hair. All hair extensions must be paid for prior to the trial.

At your trial we will finalise a start time and schedule for your wedding morning.

Wedding Day

I will arrive and set up at our agreed time, I’ll need a chair, mirror and plug socket.

Please ensure everyone having their hair done wears a button up shirt or gown to prevent anything going over the head to minimise spoiling hair.

All brides, bridesmaids and mothers of the bride will need clean dry hair on the morning of the wedding, please advise them not use conditioner.

Those having hair washed on the wedding morning will need their hair slot before make up.
